One of the ways to know when you are about to project yourself astrally, is by feeling the astral projection vibrations. Here is how they work:
This particular stage of astral projection is marked by vibrations in your body which are impossible to ignore. It feels like every single cell in your body is vibrating furiously in its place. However, the catch is- physically your body is as stable as could be.
It is only your astral body which is causing these vibrations. The sensation is akin to an electric current travelling from your head to your body and then back again. For some it is preceded by a buzzing sound, while for others there is no such indicator.
Even the sensations are different for different individuals and the intensity varies from a light vibration as if your cell phone is ringing to a much more jarring electric charge.
How to control it?
Usually this vibration takes place on its own. However with training it can also be induced. One such energy exercise which can induce an astral vibration is Voluntary Energetic Longitudinal Oscillation or VELO. All you have to do is concentrate your will power enough to visualize energy moving from your head to your toes.
This is done while in the sleep paralysis stage. Focus on this movement of energy and soon you’d be able to feel vibrations in your entire body. Needless to say, this requires a lot of patience and practicing.
How to move past this stage?
The collision of energy signals of your physical body and astral body is what causes these vibrations. By default you are more aware of the energy of your physical body.
Your consciousness needs to reach a stage of equilibrium where it is aware of the energy signal of your astral body as well as physical one. At this point you can control these energies. Focus hard on the energy signature of your astral body and you’d be able to project your consciousness from your body.
When is the right time to do it?
If you try to project your astral body during the vibrations, you will not be able to do it effectively. Wait for the vibrations to stop. Relax. You’d feel a period of calm and quiet. This is the time to make the switch.
