You know how there’s always someone in your life who considers themselves to be the World’s Greatest Authority on Everything? Well, there may be a reason for that pedantic and all-knowing behavior, and it may very well be astrological.
While astrology can influence us in many grandiose ways, we can also be cosmically driven to be obnoxious d*ckheads. I wouldn’t say it’s a good excuse, but when you come across that certain someone who really and truly believes they are better than you (and everyone else), it may very well be because their birthdate falls under one of these zodiac signs. Here are the four most conceited zodiac signs to watch out for.
1. TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
That whole stereotype about those born under this sign being stubborn rings doubly true when it comes to admitting that they aren’t the know-it-all that they’d like you to believe. In true typical Taurus fashion, this person will take their vast amount of knowledge (which is something many of them actually DO have) and flaunt it around like a flag, assuming that you couldn’t possibly know as much as they do.
While intelligence is most definitely their calling card, arrogance and flippant behavior marks the Taurus individual as one hell of a bully when it comes to claiming the title of “World’s Greatest Authority on Everything.”
2. LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Now, there’s a shocker, huh? Not so much. That egomaniacal shining star of the zodiac means business when they set their minds to teaching you a lesson. Oh how they will adore the sound of their own voice; they see themselves as lecturers in a grand opera of students. In the Leo mind, it’s a given that you’ll surrender all your previous ideas as you re-learn your education Leo-style, meaning Leos expect you to forget what you know and grab hold of what they “teach” you instead.
Unlike Taurus, the Leo personality goes more for flair and theatricality over substance; if you engage in a conversation with a know-it-all Leo, prepare yourself for a presentation, rather than a friendly debate or even a calm discussion. Leo wins, even when they don’t know what they’re talking about, which makes them one of the most conceited zodiac signs.
3. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
It’s all about unfair play with Virgo when it comes to arguments. If you ever find yourself in a battle of words with a Virgo, take the high road and let them yap on… as they will. Oh, yes. Virgo loves to talk and talk, and rarely do they budge from what they believe is fact. Could they be referring to facts, or do they just believe so hard in whatever it is that they believe in that they simply cannot bend?
The truth is these people are filled with pride, much like Leos, and they’d rather go down fighting than hear your point of view, much less admit you might have a point. Virgo, aka “The Perfectionist,” finds perfection in the concept that they are right and that you aren’t even close.
4. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
Known for their outgoing nature, they can sometimes take that freedom-loving attitude and claim the title role as “World’s Greatest Authority on Everything.” What gives them such nerve is that they are well-intended on knowing all there is to know on a subject, and because of that, they cannot admit that you might know as much, if not more.
To know more than the average Sagittarius is something the average Sagittarius cannot possibly consider. Those positive intentions may lead them to knowledge, but once they acquire it, they begin to fancy themselves as the supreme owners of that topic. If you want to spare yourself a migraine, avoid talking about travel or spirituality with a Sagittarius. You’ll find yourself dreading the fact that you even tried.
