“April showers bring May flowers”

The lunar eclipse in Scorpio occurs on May 5 at 11:15 a.m. EDT and will peak at 1:24 p.m. EDT. It will be visible in most of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. It’ll amp up the excitement for those celebrating Cinco de Mayo or just having a regular Friday. Even if you’re five margaritas in, be conscious of your actions and have fun without drama.

We can expect to hear news or protests about reproductive rights as a group, or to become enraged as a result of the current state of politics. There may be new legislation that encourages people to take a stand and fight back.

When the sun, Earth, and moon are in a peroxide alignment, the moon is forced to pass through the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow, known as the umbra. This eclipse series on the Taurus-Scorpio lunar nodes began on November 19, 2021 and will conclude on October 28, 2019. The previous lunar eclipse occurred in Taurus, whereas this one occurs in Scorpio. When the lunar nodes entered Taurus-Scorpio on January 18, 2022, the effects were profound. Eclipse aftershocks and effects can last for months after they occur, so brace yourself for a slow burn.

Lunar eclipses bring things to light because the moon glows and allows us to see clearly. This eclipse is full of surprises, chaos, and unpredictability, all of which will jolt us awake and compel us to take immediate action to create a better world for ourselves and future generations. With Uranus, the wild card planet, connecting with the Taurus Sun and opposing the Scorpio Moon, we can expect politics to dominate our conversations with others. To be honest, if we don’t choose our words carefully, things could get very heated very quickly.

Uranus is a planet that wants us to adapt to the times and toss conventions aside. The progressive planet is more concerned with how we can educate others and challenge old beliefs in order to create a utopia. While that sounds wonderful, it can lead to people getting up on their soapboxes and preaching and imposing their beliefs on others. The good news is that this tactic can help change the attitude of those who are unaware of the situation and allow them to see the truth.

Zubenelgenubi, the fixed star, aligns with the moon. Unfortunately, the star emits a negative and combative energy toward the moon, which will rapidly escalate during the eclipse. With the moon in the Via Combusta degrees of Scorpio, things will be rockier and more passionate. Confrontations with the potential to escalate into major debates can be expected. Because of the energy, our frustration levels will skyrocket, creating a tense environment for everyone involved. The tense situation appears unavoidable — unless we bite our tongues in silence, which won’t happen because Mercury is in planetary retrograde. So, be cautious in your declarations and words, as they may be difficult to retract and may express the opposite sentiment of what you believe in.

On a personal level, the lunar eclipse denotes a significant period of transition. It is urging us to evolve and transform, even if it means letting go of the past. It will be easier to let go of people and situations that are holding us back during the eclipse because we will see that they are not part of our destiny or future. Tears will be shed, hearts will be broken, and things may end abruptly. Although it will hurt in the short term, you will realize it was necessary in the long run.

It’s critical to be kind to yourself and those who need it in order to survive and thrive. The energy will increase in the days leading up to the eclipse, which is all the more reason for us to practice what we preach by showing tenderness and benevolence to those in need — and especially to ourselves.
