The dogs are animals that are considered our best friends. Over and over, they prove that they are kind, affectionate and loyal when people turn their backs to us.
After being admitted to the hospital in recent times, one man from Brazil understood this in a heartwarming way.
César is a homeless man, but he has his loyal group of canine companions. Yes, they were real friends because each of them refused to walk away from him when he was in great need.
According to some reports, César has been treated for a pre-existing medical condition right when one of the nurses in the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Rio do Sul, named Cris Mamprim, witnessed the scene of César’s dog friends patiently waiting outside of the hospital.
On the 9th of December, last year, in the Sunday morning hours, César entered the hospital, and after that, people realized that the man was not alone. In fact, four furry friends waited outside the hospital, each of them refusing to walk away until the staff in the hospital checked their friend.
The nurse that witnessed the event, Cris Mamprim, wrote quite an emotional Facebook post, after that display of friendship and loyalty.

Cris explained that the homeless man arrived at their hospital at 3 am. Here is what she wrote (translation to English):
“A simple person, without luxury, who depends on help to overcome the hunger, the cold, the pain, the evils of the world, has by his side the best companions and the exchange is reciprocal – exchange of love, affection, warmth, understanding. A person who confessed to us that stops eating to feed them.”
It was evident that the hospital was not able to keep these animals apart from their friend for a long time, so when he was finally treated, the staff in the hospital decided to invite the canine friends inside.
They also provided the man with some food, and he ate just a little bit before he saved more for his friends waiting outside.
César was in the hospital for one hour or so, and after he was discharged, his dogs in front of him, wagging the tails happily, returned with him.
Later on, the nurse also wrote:
“I don’t know what his life is like, because he’s on the street, and I don’t even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for seeing them like this, waiting on the door, just shows how much they are well cared for and loved. Oh if everyone was like this…. if there was no evil, mistreatment….”
We hope that César recovered and that he is living a happy and fulfilled life with his canine friends.
