We have to be the people that nourish other people while they come into our home and sit at our table. We should feed those people food that will not just fuel their bodies completely but will bless their bodies as well.
We should give them all those nutrients needed to thrive; however, we shouldn’t be afraid when it comes to giving them sugar.
We should let our love pour itself in the food which we are cooking for them, in order to each bite that they are going to take isn’t only going to fuel for life, growth, and health, but for an understanding that they are cared for and loved.
The food that we are cooking is the representation of our love and the way to actually nourish their being. We should let our table reflect all that, and the walls in our home provide the needed framework for such nourishment as well.
When our home is the place of peace and respite, the best growth may happen. We should invite the ones that we love to our home, and while we devour on our lovingly prepared mead, we should let ourselves to lose ourselves in all those sounds of chatter and laughter.
We should let ourselves linger at our table while we feast, drink, and learn about each other’s conversations which we wouldn’t like to end.
We should be the people that nourish the minds of the ones we love, and we meet. We should motivate original discussion and thoughts. We should present some new art, ideas, or media in front of them, which they would not normally consume.
We have to remember that diversifying our tastes is okay and that when we do that, we are not leaving something behind, we are simply opening our mind in order to encompass some newness.
We can challenge others to actually think beyond everything they see, hear, or know. We should not escape from controversial or hard conversations – we have to remember that we can discuss, unpack, and learn about some tricky themes without even offending each other if we remain honest and rooted in love.
We should ask them to stretch beyond their zone of comfort – to observe their ideas, hopes, thoughts, fears, and dreams more profoundly.
However, ensure that we stretch alongside them, in order to nourish our mind in constant journeys, often when we are traveling together. We should nourish their own minds with some positive affirmations and thoughts.
We have to be the people that nourish the souls of every person around us. Art will not only nourish their minds, but it will nourish their souls as well.
We can show them some theatre or films which are speaking to their spirits and making them take a close look at this world. We can play some music or tell them certain stories which reignite their trust in humanity.
When we ask them about how they are doing, we should stop in order to hear their answer truly. We should listen carefully while they speak, and let our ears be open just like our heart and mind.
We should find things which speak to the spirits of those people, and listen carefully when their souls are also speaking; however, above everything, we should nourish the love of their souls.
We should love them even when they are through their struggles and darkness. We should hold the hands of these people while they are journeying towards the light. We should lift these people up when they don’t have the needed strength anymore.
We should celebrate their success, joys, and happiness together with them. We should even remind them that they are worth and how important they are to us.
We should say “I love you” because these three small words are powerful enough to nourish a lot more than foods found on our table.
