When two people are driven by genuine love, not ulterior motives, and have unconditional and true feelings for each other, they ultimately develop into better people.
Those that genuinely love each other do not set any conditions. They ignore their partner’s imperfections and flaws and focus on their good aspects only. They accept their partner as they are for the rest of their lives.
You may have been in a situation where you were driven by motives other than genuine love. Namely, you’ve just made up a perfect partner in your head as well as projected them on somebody.
But, believing that you are able to control somebody and remove their imperfections isn’t right. It’s hypocritical to think so when you yourself are flawed, as well. Even though you’re striving towards perfection, you must stop for a second and think about whether you’re only scared to fall for somebody else and their authentic self.
Rather than trying to identify what should be changed about them, allow yourself to fall in love without paying attention to it. You’ll soon realize that both of you will eventually change to the better.
But, the change must begin with you. If you love each other truly, you’ll motivate each other to become the best version of yourselves. You’ll be the person that they deserve and vice versa.
You won’t force each other to change. You won’t push things though. You’ll have each other’s backs, so that the change will soon come from the inside.
You’ll learn to sacrifice your wants for their benefits. If you love them truly, you won’t sacrifice a temporary want for the well being of them or the relationship.
You’ll love each other passionately, fully, and fiercely. Loving your partner genuinely means loving them with your whole heart and your whole being. This also means loving them when they’re sick, unlovable, depressed, or in a bad mood.
You’ll love them will all of their flaws and imperfections. Nobody is perfect, and loving genuinely means to accept the fact that they’ll fail. And when they do, you’ll forgive them and keep loving them.
It is important to understand that you must start from yourself in the first place. You should learn to love yourself first to love other people. The way you treat yourself is a reflection of how you’ll let other people treat you.
Therefore, love yourself truly and accept all of your weaknesses, failures, and mistakes.
