A Spectacular & Rare Hybrid Eclipse: A Journey Between Two Worlds
The Aries New Moon Solar Eclipse is a cross between an Annular Eclipse, which shows a ring of fire around the Sun, and a Total Eclipse, which completely blocks the Sun.
Hybrid eclipses are extremely rare and can indicate a transition or shift between two worlds. Perhaps something in our lives is about to shift as the Eclipse transitions from Total to Annular.
This is the second lunar cycle in a row that begins in the fire sign of Aries. The first occurred on March 21st, when we witnessed the Aries New Moon. Having two powerful lunar cycles in Aries back to back indicates an increase in intensity surrounding Aries themes.
Aries is a fire sign, and the element of fire that lives within all of us provides us with strength, courage, passion, and determination. When it burns too hot, the element of fire can cause rage, attacks, destruction, and being overly impulsive or ego-driven.
This Eclipse may have a theme of balancing our own inner fire. We may feel the Aries energy pushing us to stand up for ourselves, take risks, and find the courage to walk through the new doors that are opening for us. However, we may need to bring it back, tame our egos, accept responsibility for any destruction, and reconsider the voice of our hearts.
This Eclipse will be your guide, assisting you to cross into a new state of being or perhaps even a new reality, whether your inner fire needs to be fanned or tamed. Aries Solar Eclipse at the Highly Karmic 29th Degree
The April Solar Eclipse occurs at 29 degrees Aries, the final degree of the zodiac. The Anaretic degree is the final degree of any zodiac sign and is considered a highly charged and karmic point.
The presence of such a powerful Eclipse on this highly charged point indicates the unfolding of a karmic event or destiny. It also denotes something coming to an end, making room for something new to emerge.
Eclipses have long been associated with fated or karmic events, but this April Eclipse appears to be particularly connected to the divine realms.
The 29th degree is also thought to be a point of highest consciousness, where we can integrate all of that zodiac sign’s lessons and operate from its highest expression.

Humea, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fertility, has a softer influence here, but she adds to the Eclipse’s already highly creative energy. Humea possesses the ability to give birth using multiple parts of her body. She is the ultimate creator, and we can all connect with her and tune into her vibrations to boost our creativity, reproductive health, and manifestation efforts.
Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Strife, is currently aligned with Jupiter, adding to the Eclipse energies. The presence of Eris and Jupiter together suggests some volatility, but it appears to be well-balanced in relation to the other cosmic forces. Remember that when Eris is involved, she brings Discord and Strife because she believes that a better way can be found. She wants to shake things up so we can question things and, hopefully, find a new path to greater harmony.
This Solar Eclipse also activates Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth. While Pluto rules over the process of transformation from death to rebirth, it appears that the energy of rebirth will be highlighted more strongly here. Pluto’s presence, combined with the powerful Solar Eclipse, can bring never-before-seen opportunities and awakenings, allowing us to completely rebirth and transform into a higher version of ourselves.
