This is the asteroid of commitment in the case of Juno. Juno represents how we express commitment and our attitudes toward it, and we can see this in transit through the Zodiac sign Juno is touring and the natal house it is touring in your natal chart.
Impact of Asteroid Juno in Gemini 2023
Juno spent about 1 1/2 months in Taurus, a grounded and earthy sign that takes its time making commitments but can be loyal once they are made. Gemini, on the other hand, moves much faster, and it sees vows of commitment as a contract.
Juno in Gemini can make us all think about commitment a lot more, discuss it with others, and come up with new ways to do it. We may wish to gather information about commitment, partnerships, and alliances, and we may wish to concentrate on our feelings about it all.
Juno in Gemini can move us quickly into commitment, and we may need to slow down a little to think it through. We can think it through thoroughly if we give ourselves enough time. We don’t even need much; a little will suffice!
Because Gemini is the sign of youth, we may see more young people entering into commitments and partnerships, or at least talking about it. Gemini is represented by the Twins, so they may have mixed feelings about it as well.
Juno will be in Gemini for about a month and a half, from May 2nd to June 22nd, 2023.
Important Juno in Gemini Aspects:
On June 20th, Juno in Gemini will only conjunct (align with) one of the other planets, the Sun in Gemini. They’re both nearing the end of Gemini and preparing to enter watery Cancer.
Because the Sun shines a light and has a romantic, fun attitude, connecting with Juno in Gemini can draw attention to commitment in our lives, particularly anything we’ve committed to vocally or in writing (ruled by Gemini). There may be something related to it that needs to be addressed at the last minute before it can be settled and set.
Around the same time, on June 18th, Juno will square (challenge) Neptune in Pisces at 27 degrees, so perhaps the increased emphasis on commitment is due to something Neptunian. We must ensure that we are seeing reality and not allowing wishful thinking to cloud our judgment. We must also ensure that we are understanding.
Juno in Gemini will immediately trine (beneficial aspect) Pluto in Aquarius on May 2nd, as Pluto moves retrograde (appears to move backward) in Aquarius on May 1st. This can assist us in being serious about committing early in the transit.
On May 12th, Juno will square Saturn in Pisces, which may cause some difficulties in relationships. Some may reach a breaking point, and anyone in a bad relationship may have to make some difficult decisions, especially if things haven’t been handled well.
Juno will also face another love asteroid, Cupido, the asteroid of infatuation and crushes. Cupid is retrograde in Sagittarius for this opposition, which occurs at 6 degrees on May 13th.
Commitment and infatuation may be at odds, and we may struggle with taking relationships and partnerships seriously while wanting to have fun with others. I suspect this will also be a time of outings, so plan ahead if that’s a possibility!
