Is busy life “happy life”? Is modern lifestyle advantageous compared with the previous ways of living? Is having more stuff what brings enjoyment in life? Is having more doctors what brings better health? Is having more food more nutritious for us?
The list of questions can go on and on. It is a fact that modern living considerably contributes to the stress and our overall health. It is a burden on our body but also on our spirit. Therefore, busy life=happy life is far from the truth.
There are many ways to detoxify our body but what also matters is detoxification of the soul. We need to remember that occasional cleansing of the soul can load our spirit and lighten us. There are several ways which a person needs to consider in order to reach soul purification. Firstly, remove toxic people from your life.
Negative people will never change and they will always prioritize their own interests being unable to consider other people’s emotional state.
If there is a person in your life who makes you feel anxious, then you should keep that person away from you. Seek people who will make you happy and avoid those who make you feel sick.
Furthermore, create a space around you that will not be suffocated with possessions. Minimize your possessions and keep only those things that you really need.
This will surely detoxify your soul and clean your mind. Next, proper diet is what matters most. In this context, keeping your body hydrated at all times is what boost your soul.
Get rid of the sugary drinks and include water in your diet as it is the most natural drink. Water will increase your energy, it will clean your skin, improve your digestive health. By feeling better physically you will definitely feel better mentally. In addition, it is important to include fresh and nutrient-rich food such as fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds.
When we consume healthy food and drinks our mind and spirit will be at their heights. If fruit and vegetables are the most important for our physical health, then mediation is the most important for our spiritual health.
It is enough to take 5-10 minutes a day and sit in silence, focusing on your breathing. This will do wonders for your soul.
Forget about your phone and your computer for a moment and concentrate on yourself. Talk more with the people around you instead of scrolling through Facebook and its largely useless information. Go outside, feel the nature, spend as much time as possible in the nature.
Move your body, take a walk. All these will raise your spirits, reset your mind and rejuvenate your soul.
