The pink full moon will appear on April 6 at 12:37 a.m. ET. The first full moon of the spring, as Luna enters Libra, is sure to be exciting.
It encourages us to consider our interactions and how we can heal the blocks, wounds, and traumas that keep us from having deeper and more authentic relationships with others, ourselves, and the world around us.
Follow these dos and don’ts to effectively harness the energy of the moon.
DO: Reflect on your goals.
Full moons are ideal for setting goals. Spend some time reflecting on what is impeding your monthly goals and intentions. Allow yourself to let go of old habits and ways of thinking.
DON’T: Compare yourself with others.
This lunation, embrace your own unique journey and path by not setting unrealistic goals for yourself or comparing yourself to others.
DO: Make an effort to be grateful.
Gratitude can be as simple as thanking the Universe for all the good things in your life, as well as thanking all the people you feel fortunate to have in your life.
DON’T: Revert to old habits.
Don’t text your ex in particular. I promise it won’t feel good the next day, just like a hangover.
DO: Let go of negative emotions.
Release any negative energy or emotions that are holding you back by journaling, having a small, meaningful conversation with a trusted friend, or participating in a spiritual practice such as smudging.
DON’T: Make rash decisions.
The full moon’s heightened energy may inspire you to make some changes to your appearance, but we recommend resisting these urges, as permanent beauty decisions may come back to haunt you.
DO: Immerse yourself in nature.
Spring is officially in full bloom, so make the most of it by spending time outside. You can use this time to do breathing exercises or other grounding exercises.
DON’T: Engage in negativity.
Trying not to be overwhelmed by the intensity of others is essential during this full moon. Today, you will notice that others are venting their frustrations on you. Remember to use your personal boundaries as a weapon.
DO: Practice self-care.
Remember to listen to your body and nurture it in whatever way feels right to you. A warm bath after a long day, a cathartic writing session, or a night spent drawing at home with your friends are all examples of self-care.
