10 Ways to Survive During Mercury “Retroshade” (Which Is Just as Bad as Mercury Retrograde)

Does it seem like no matter what you do, nothing is ever going to work out the way you want it to?

That is likely due to Mercury retrograde. The annoyances caused by Mercury’s retrograde motion were with us for the majority of December. The end justifies the means, even though it provides a reasonable explanation for why we’re feeling a bit off (everyone knows what it means by now). I think it’s safe to say that everyone is relieved that Mercury retrograde is finally over. Mercury retrograde isn’t quite as terrible as retrograde, but it’s still not great, so let me tell you about it. The galaxy has other plans, though. Yeah, you should definitely learn Mercury retroshade protection techniques as soon as possible.

An explanation comes first. Known as a “shadow period” when a planet returns to its original motion, Mercury’s two-week pre- and post-retrograde phases will undoubtedly prolong the difficulty of your life’s endeavors. January 1 marks the end of retrograde, and until approximately January 14, retrograde shadow will persist. There will be more muddled thinking, misunderstandings, technological blunders, and travel hassles during that time. Retrograde is a major worry, but retroshade is much more manageable.

Similar to a retrograde, retroshade encourages introspection and the desire to draw lessons from the past. Yeah, that doesn’t sound too terrible, and it’s likely the best thing about this two-week period. You should still be cautious because retroshade is sneaky and the last thing you need when you’re celebrating the holidays and getting ready to start a new year. You must begin preparing immediately if you want everything to go off without a hitch. In the spirit of a new beginning this January, here are some precautions to take during the Mercury retrograde.

1. Expect the Worst

We should prepare for the worst and have multiple backup plans during Mercury retrograde. Use this line of reasoning when getting ready for a retroshade. You should prepare yourself for the possibility of any number of accidents because there are still plenty of chances for them. Make sure your backup plans have backups. Have you booked your New Year’s Day dinner? Just in case anything goes wrong, it’s a good idea to have a backup reservation and some takeout options on hand. Hitting the road with your GPS? Get directions and other possible routes printed out. Anything can happen!

2. Explain Yourself Thoroughly

During a retrograde or retroshade, communication can be bit clumsy. Disputes with those closest to you could arise frequently due to misunderstandings. During the holidays, there is absolutely no room for this! If you want to keep things clear in every conversation, make sure to explain yourself completely. Be careful not to irritate other people and don’t assume they’ll get what you’re saying.

3. Postpone Arrangements for Your Trip

Was a spur-of-the-moment getaway for NYE in your plans? Perhaps now is not the ideal moment. How about we use that vacation cash to book a trip for next week? Do yourself a favor and wait. During retroshade, traveling is not a friend. Do not plan anything or go anywhere until after January 14th, when it is over. In the end, you’ll be glad you did it!

4. Make a Backup of All Your Important Documents

Similar to a retrograde, retroshade can have a wide-ranging negative impact on technology. Backing up your data is the best way to protect your important information, even if you can’t control when your phone or computer breaks or acts strange. To be safe, make several copies, print everything out, and use flash drives.

5. Keep Extra Batteries on Hand

Concerning technical matters, you may observe that your devices appear to be experiencing rapid battery drain. Make sure you never find yourself in a critical situation without power by always having spare batteries or, at the very least, portable power banks on available.

6. Allow Enough Time for Reflection

Retroshade is a great time for contemplation, which is one of its advantages. Now is the perfect moment to reflect on your previous actions and draw lessons from them. Although it may not sound very enticing, completing that task will truly enable you to enhance your self-improvement efforts in the coming year. Separate yourself from the world and give yourself time to think deeply. Make a note of everything you learn, and then use that knowledge to guide your 2024 objectives. Impressive work turning retroshade into something positive!

7. Try to Let Go of the Past

But there are drawbacks to reflecting too much; for example, it might bring up negative emotions related to events that have already occurred. Make the most of this opportunity to release, rather than cling to, those things. Get some help from a trusted person—a relative, friend, or therapist—if you feel like you’re struggling to handle this on your own. Embrace the opportunity to let go.

8. Stay Inside Your Safe Zone

In the mood to do something wild and crazy? The timing isn’t ideal right now, uh. Everyone is cautioned not to make any major life changes or decisions while retrograde is in effect, and retroshade is no exception. You would be wise to remain within the familiar, warm embrace of your comfort zones. Make a strategy to try something new after retroshade ends if you’re really interested in doing so. Spend some quality time with loved ones, celebrate the season in style, and unwind.

9. Try Meditating Once Every Day

Add the usual holiday stress to the mix with retroshade, and you have a recipe for chaos. Do your best to maintain a serene and composed demeanor in order to combat this. Practice meditation daily, or at least find a few moments throughout the day when you can be alone with your thoughts and no outside noise. Take a stroll, enroll in a yoga class, or snuggle up with your pet—do whatever helps you relax.

10. Think Before You Speak

Be very cautious with your words if there was ever an occasion to do so. You might say something you later regret because of how difficult it is to communicate in Retroshade. Instead of rushing into something, pause and consider carefully what you are about to say. Just a few more minutes will be well spent.
