Take a look at the life you’re living now. Is there anything wrong with it? Maybe you’re not motivated enough or you can’t make the right decisions.
The answer to your problems actually lies in everything around you. The way you do your daily routine says a lot about how you deal with everything else.
A simple solution
When I was in college, my room was a total mess, and so was my life. I was more than often depressed. I didn’t care about the mess, and the external deaths quickly became my permanent inner state.
I decided one day that I could no longer tolerate that mess and immediately began working on it. I started with my room in my office. It’s a spontaneous decision, but I believe that older adults and intentions in life come in such a manner.
This simple action started my new way of life. I can’t say that the everyday cleaning was what changed me, but that was the starting point. I noticed the lack of clarity in my life, and I finally figured out what the things were that I really loved.
When your mind is in complete chaos, it manifests an exterior world. So, in order to bring order to our lives, all we need to do is change our habits.
How chaos impacts other aspects of our lives
Now that I have changed my daily routines, my habits have started influencing my job, my diet, and even my mood. I started living a healthy life—I cut the ties with people who were bringing me down; I left the college that I hated; and I started doing things I was really interested in.
The oldest team gave me freedom. All the pieces of the puzzle fit together, and it felt as though I had completely cleaned up my mind.
How to take action
Take a look at your life. What’s a messy room? What’s wrong with it? Is everything in its place? Is there something or somebody that’s preventing you from making this change? Are there things you want to do, but you’re not doing them? When you have all the answers, start cleaning.
The best way to do it is to start with something simple, like taking out the trash. Did your heart feel better afterwards?
Removing obstacles
The next thing you should do is define the obstacles that are preventing you from moving forward: a lack of knowledge, fear, anxiety, or even people around you. Make a list of all these things; they’ll really help you house the obstacles. Write down a couple of possible solutions.
You are able to cope with every problem and acknowledge it. Fear, laziness, and weakness are everything that is holding us back from clearing our heads and moving forward.
