Most people view death as a final event. Yet every ancient spiritual tradition agrees: death is not an end, but a transition. Life is a continuous flow, and physical death is merely a station along this current.
What dies is the body and the identification with the mind. What remains is consciousness—the pure sense of “I Am,” which was never born and can never die.

2. The Moment of Death—Leaving the Body
At the moment of death, many report leaving their body and seeing it from above, observing doctors, surroundings, or loved ones. This is the release of consciousness from the material form, shifting into a new level of perception.
Consciousness often becomes clearer and more alive than ever before. Physical senses fade, replaced by a subtle, intuitive perception.
3. Near-Death Experiences—The Light, Life Review, and Return
Numerous near-death experiences (NDEs) affirm that consciousness continues after death. Their common elements hold deep spiritual significance:
- Tunnel of Light: a passage between states of consciousness.
