Synchronicity & Symbolism

Today, I want to talk about synchronicity . The last time I had a chance to talk to you, it was about the possibility of us living in a artificial universe and the possible finding of an error correction code embedded in it .  Could it be that this error correcting code is linked to synchronicity i.e. the universe giving you choices and challenges?

Now, I can’t give a lot  of concrete evidence for this only my observations and experience with this subject.

First, what is synchronicity? Synchronicity is defined as the experience of two simultaneous events that appear related but have no clear causal connection.

Psychotherapist Carl Jung originally coined the term “synchronicity” when he began to recognize the importance of meaningful coincidences in his life and the lives of his clients.

Such coincidences seem utterly unexplainable, making synchronicity a magical and inspiring occurrence in our lives. Synchronicities act as a bridge between our inner and outer worlds.

These magical coincidences truly express the dream like nature of our waking reality. What are synchronicities trying to tell me? I think it depends on your personal journey, and the person knowing themselves (know thyself), but from my observations, I’ve noticed a few universal things, and I will use two examples today, the rose and the cherry.

The reason I use these is because I’ve had a close encounter with both of these symbols in my life.

If anyone has seen “The Truman Show ” staring Jim Carey?  You will notice two women made an appearance to truman (true man). First was the women trying to tell truman he was in a “fake ” world, and he had more control over it then he thought . If you notice, she had on a rose her dress. The rose was sacred to a number of goddesses including Isis. Whose rose appears in the late classical allegorical novel The Golden Ass as “The sweet Rose of reason and virtue” that saves the hero from his bewitched life in the form of a donkey.[1] The ancient Greeks and Romans identified the rose with the goddess of love, Aphrodite (Greek name) and Venus (Roman name).

In Rome , a wild rose would be placed on the door of a room where secret or confidential matters were discussed. The phrase sub rosa, or “under the rose”, means to keep a secret — derived from this ancient Roman practice. The other women the temptress wore a cherry on her shirt. Certain fruits have strong fertility symbolism and a deep red, ripe, juicy cherry is no exception.

The reason why I want you to be aware of this is because if we stop taking things for coincidence and start to pay attention to the signs that are around us, we can start to take more control of this life and world.

And now, let’s go back to my example. I’ve had two women in my life that I cared for deeply . While one brought me a lot  of pain, the other became my salvation . One used the screen name “Cherry”, and the other has a tattoo of a rose. Guess which one I met at 16 and was reunited at 30 and have been together for 10 years?

Always pay attention to detail. Life is always talking to us.
