On October 13th, the Full Moon will come up in the sign of Aries. It will remain a Full Moon till the length of the Saturday morning to Tuesday morning.
Full Moons are a time of completion – it’s a time when you realize your inner fulfillment. The Hunter Full Moon in Aries is similar and holds the same power as the other full moons.
This Full Moon is referred to as the Hunter’s Moon. It earned this name because it occurs after the Harvest Moon. The Hunter’s Moon will depend on the occurrence of the Harvest Moon or the Moon near the Autumn Equinox – and so, it can fall either in October or in November.
It is referred to as the Hunter Full Moon because it is the time when people went out for hunting. It is the time when people started to stock their food as the Winter comes.
Aries is a Fire sign and so, it represents passion and boundless energy. This time, the Hunter Moon becomes a companion to Pluto enhancing its transformative power.
Change is coming in – the Hunter Moon can bring a major revolution in your relationships and power dynamics. If there has been an abuse of a power position in your relationships, it’s time to turn the tables in your favor. You will be the one standing tall during this period.
The Full Moon wants us to be more active. Now is not the time to think. You need to act. The Full Moon is going to help us take charge of our lives. We will no longer be abused or ignored. There are fears that keep us from being our true selves.
We fear losing a close person, however toxic they may be, and in the process, being alone. And so, we take the hits and yet keep our mouths shut. We let ourselves be walked over by others.
But that will no longer be the case. It’s time to break the chain of fear and start taking on life with confidence.
You are no longer going to stay quiet and accept the abuse and torture. You are in charge now and if there is a toxic element in your life, you will fight back. Nothing will hold you back anymore.
As per Gabriela Herstik, the author of the famous books, Inner Witch: A Modern Guide To The Ancient Craft, the Full Moon is also a special moment to work with sex magick and burning magick.
Burning magick means to go through a process of banishment and release. If you are holding something in your chest – then let go of it. You can note it down on a piece of paper and then ignite it.
Think of the time in April – the time when there was a New Moon in the same sign, Aries. Reflect on how far you have come, think of what you need to banish, note it down on a paper.
Then, burn the paper. When you are doing your rituals, keep ‘fire’ as an important element in your rituals. You can engage in candle magick, fire gazing and also, wax play with safe candles.
Sex magick is a powerful tune of the Full Moon. The Full Moon will balance out your sexuality due to the power of Aries and bring the Venus-ruled Libran sensuality within you. It’s time to get a bit kinky and get the floggers out. Spanking and BDSM might be the way you spice up your bedroom.
It’s time for transformation. But be prepared for the future. The first sign of our zodiac cycle is Aries – so, you have a lot of adventures to look forward too. There is a whole lot of energy coming your way.
Be ready and best of luck.
