Animals are sentient beings with a mind of their own, contrary to what human beings would like to believe.
It is often that we mistake our species to be the only thinking, feeling beings on the face of this planet. But a deeper look at all the animals will instantly burst that myth.
Animals can perceive what is happening in their surroundings. They can sense the feelings of the human beings that they interact with. They too can form a conscious response to the events affecting them. Much like human beings, they have their spiritual mission and are here on Earth to fulfill their life’s purpose.
From great scientists to spiritual teachers, everyone has said that all forms of life have a consciousness. Human beings do not have a monopoly on the matter. But the levels of consciousness vary.
So, it would be wrong to say that animals are excluded from the thought pyramid. Starting from pets to all wild animals, everyone functions under a chakra system. They have a purpose to fulfill in this life and look forward to a mystical journey after gathering experiences from the physical realm.
Our interaction and involvement with animals are crucial in many aspects. In this article, let’s understand the spirituality of animals and their deeper purpose in our lives.
Animals Balance Our Mind, Body, And Spirit
Animals share the same world that we live in. So, it is only accurate that our lives are intertwined. Animals help us in attaining spiritual growth and serve us in a number of ways in our evolutionary journey through life.
You must have heard about dogs spending nights on their owner’s grave or pets dying of depression when they are separated from their owners. These are pure examples of love, loyalty, and resilience and are not limited to domesticated animals alone.
To connect to an animal or interact with them is parallel to speaking the language of love. They shower unconditional love on us. The positive energy that their presence brings nullifies the negativity in our lives. They energize your home, mind, spirit, and body in more ways than one and balance out any negative energy that might be lurking in the corners.
Pets And The Pandemic
The purpose of animals has become clearer after the onset of the global pandemic. Science says pets are a remedy to the soul. They became the core source of emotional support for many during the long days of quarantine. Animals have a way of easing your anxiety and reducing your stress levels.
More people are increasingly understanding the importance of having a pet in their homes. A cat or a dog during the pandemic means that you can avoid a mental breakdown. Several doctors have noted that animals can help with panic disorders, depression, loneliness, heart-related problems, Parkinson’s, anxiety, grief, and so on.
Animals are natural healers. They can absorb your grief so that you can begin your journey of spiritual healing. They are also lively companions for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorders.
Adopt An Animal To Spread Love
With the shocking rate of animal abandonment or cruelty, human beings must do their part to ensure that these positive beams of light do not spend their lives in darkness.
One of the ways that we can help this world is by adopting. Anatole France once said, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened”. So, it is time to embrace the warmth and love we get from animals and return some to them.
Understand the deeper, spiritual purpose of animals to make a difference in your life.
