How often do you pay attention to your breathing? Most people will say – ‘not often enough’. In moments of stress and difficulty, breathing can become shallow and rapid.
Can you recall a situation when you were under great pressure – maybe you had a job interview or an exam, and when you were done with it you did that deep exhale? That’s because you were holding your breath the whole time, without even being aware of it. So don’t forget to keep practicing beer and regular inhales and exhales during the entire day.
In this way you will not only improve your emotional state but also your physical health. So, if you want to be healthy, start with deep breathing!
2. Enjoy the NOW!
You have probably heard this so many times already, but it won’t hurt to repeat it again; The greatest gift you can give to yourself, is the present moment.
Let go of your past. Stop worrying about the future. Instead, try to find out how to get the most out of what you already have – right here and right now.
3. Forgive yourself!
You’re human; it’s normal to make mistakes. We all do them.
But, if you can not forgive yourself, you risk not reaching your potentials and achieving happiness.
4. Forgive others too!
It is as equally as important to forgive other people who have done you an injustice. Why? When you keep a grudge on someone who caused you pain, you maintain a living and strong relationship between you and that person.
The only way to break this connection is to forgive them completely. This takes time, so be good to yourself.
A good trick is to send them love and peace every time you think of that person.
5. Stop judging!
Start being more tolerant of yourself and others. Judgement takes away our ability to see the good – good in ourselves, other people or situations.
This can prevent opportunities from presenting!
6. Expect Great Things!
Is your glass half empty or half full? Train your brain to expect the best out of everything and that way you can make your day, or even your life, better.
Expect the best, and that is exactly what you will get.
7. Invest in your relationships
People are creatures of social nature and it’s completely normal to want other people’s companion. So think about how much time you spend with people you love and who inspire you the most.
Do you spend enough quality time with people who bring joy to your life? Take more time to nurture your important relationships.
8. Say ‘thank you’
Live your life with gratitude! Benefits you get from being grateful include – a happier, fuller and better quality life!
Being grateful for what you already have makes you appreciate things and people in your life more.
9. Get rid of the old
If you are unable to get rid of things that no longer serve you, how can you expect what you want most in life to come to you?
If you can not see positive changes in your day, take a closer look at your current life and ask yourself:
“What is holding me back and preventing me from achieving what I want most?” Create space in your life.
10. Love yourself!
