I Promise You’ll Love What You Find Beyond Your Comfort Zone

No promise, plan, or concept remains absolute. There would come many times that you will realize how much you regret some decision you had made many years ago.

Instead, you should think of things you generally don’t do and enjoy the change. It is a human tendency that we adjust ourselves to the situations our decision puts us in, no matter how much we regret it.

So let us think about ways in which we can choose situations that are unlike our usual choices. This would make us try new things and even if we regret it later, at least we would have experienced it.

One of the main reasons that stop people, who like to live in their comfort zones, from achieving great things, is fear. What if things don’t go as planned? What if you get injured while trekking? These are some questions that pop up to those who do not risk getting out of their sphere.

Once you get over these very questions of doubt, you’ll see how much more you can enjoy life. First and foremost, you would have to get out of your comfort zone wherein you are aware of everything. It is necessary for the human mind to be excited in order to enjoy that time.

This excitement never happens in your comfort shell as there is nothing new around you. Thus, on getting out of your zone, you experience new things. They might be risky and regrettable but you would totally enjoy that moment and make a great memory.

Jim Carrey said in a commencement speech:

“I learned many great lessons from my father, not the least of which is that you can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”

His father chose an accountant job when he wished to be a comedian. This lineage was given to Jim Carrey whom we all know made a huge success out of that career.

A similar characteristic of ‘doing what your heart tells you’ can be seen in the documentary of a milkman done by National Geographic. In the documentary, a young man of age 23 becomes a milkman and travels continents on his bike because he loved to travel and excite himself by going to new places.

It is not always the wisest decision to stick to the routine and in your comfort zone, especially when there is a big decision involved. Sometimes taking a risk and going into the unknown might become the greatest turning point of your life.

It happens many times that couples assume pessimistically what the other person would say and never propose, only to find out later that there was always love between the two.

What you did was that you missed so much time you could’ve stayed with them had you gathered the courage of moving out of your comfort shell and telling them.

While standing on the edge of decision making, you will realize your true potential. It would help you explore yourself and you would least regret it even if no success comes out of it.
