What Do You Do To Meet Your Spiritual Needs?

Sometimes, the biggest challenge of a person is to convince people that every human is a miracle of nature and everyone has both physical, as well as spiritual needs.

A person doesn’t like when his or her physician treats him or her as a piece of meat, a collection of organs, mass and muscles. Similarly, a person can also not stand spiritual gurus ignoring physical self and concentrate on the spirit only. People are not ghosts, and their physical needs are to be met too.

The holistic approach is the way to go. We have to be satisfying both by our physical and spiritual needs. Our physical body is more expressive of its obligations. We know when we are hungry or thirsty, we get signals when we are hot or cold, we see if we are hurt and so on. On the other hand, our spiritual side is timid. We have to persuade it to talk, and we have to train ourselves to decipher our own self’s mental signals and signs.

Most of the times, our spiritual needs are communicated in vague signs. We get that feeling of something missing; we may feel the need for inspiration. We can also feel like we were always receiving and now it is the time to give back to the universe. We might be looking for that awakening, such as clearing up the foggy windscreen and seeing the other side of life, the more significant, as well as better perspective.

If we also feel any of the above or something else that sounds like big, as well as spiritual welcome on board. You were given the gift of being part of the spiritual world. Now, we have achieved the tendency to strengthen our bond with divinity, with people, with love, as well as life and the whole universe.

How can we meet our spiritual needs?

We need to take a holistic approach by striking a balance between our physical body and spiritual self. A healthy thriving body is where our spiritual enlightened mind and heart can reside. We should eat well, exercise, as well as take plenty of sleep and care of our body, treat it well.

We have to be more human and humane.

Humanity is actually the highest form of living. We should practice compassion, forgiveness, as well as acceptance, be humble and down to earth. We should know that we are a tiny part of a large universal setup. We should develop a deep awareness of being equal to other people, as well as stop looking down on other and labeling them.

We need to help other people and accept help from them too, as it is to teach us we are vulnerable and need support, it is to let go of our small ego and make us a gentle human being. We have to have strong beliefs which lend hope and strengthen during tough times.

We should have values, commitments, as well as beliefs deeply rooted in responsible living. Social work, as well as community service,  is the best way to regain our faith in humanity and to cultivate better values.

We should explore ourselves.

We have everything spiritual within us, so we have to explore it and polish it to shine through. Also, we have to look within ourselves to explore our spiritual needs, what do we want to do with life, how do we want to play a role in this universe, what can we do to make things much better and most importantly what spirituality means to us. Connect.

We should meditate.

We should block the outside world and listen to slow whispers and murmurs within ourselves. We have to practice mindful breathing in order to connect to our inner self. This moment of quiet is the moment of inspiration too.

We need spiritual support.

Spiritual gurus, as well as life coaches, yogis, and support groups can instill spirituality in us and keep us on the path. They also offer us an open and non-judgmental environment where we can express our beliefs, problems, issues, as well as views and take input from other people too. There, we can enlighten ourselves with a sense of divine purpose, meaning, as well as hope and faith in something transcendent.
