The Gemini New Moon occurs on June 18, 2023, ushering in a new lunar cycle. New Moons are always the month’s blank slate. They are opportunities to start over, to welcome new beginnings, and to plant seeds for the future.
The Universe can begin quietly (or loudly!) drawing our attention to things we can revitalize or refresh in our lives in the days leading up to a New Moon. We may find our attention shifting to things that are no longer working, or we may experience a surge of inspiration surrounding new ideas or ventures.
The cosmic energies become ripe for setting intentions and acting on any new inspirations that have found us as the Gemini New Moon reaches its peak on June 18. New Moons are always thought to be a powerful time to send out into the Universe what we want to attract back to us.
However, if we dig a little deeper, we can see that there is some fog associated with this June New Moon, which may cloud our judgment or create a sense of uncertainty. We may sense an invitation to welcome the new and to restart something in our lives, but it may be difficult to discern the path.
Under this New Moon, Neptune, the planet of illusions, dreams, and spiritual love, is highly active and will cast a veil over the energy we are receiving. Neptune has the ability to make things appear to be what they are not. If we are not careful, it can sometimes deceive us. When Neptune is involved, we must be extra careful to stay true to ourselves.
While Neptune can cause fogginess and confusion, the gift it provides is profoundly spiritual. Neptune obscures our outer world in an attempt to draw us in. When we can’t see what’s in front of us, we have to rely on our intuition. We must take things one step at a time. We must pay attention to our intuition and allow it to guide us.
Neptune encourages us to believe in ourselves. It encourages us to truly listen to our inner voice when deciding on our next steps in life. Neptune is also associated with spiritual love, so if you’re having trouble hearing your intuition or trusting yourself, start with self-love.
Allow Neptune’s beautiful vibrations to enter your soul. To encircle you in divine love. Allow them to infuse and open your heart with the love that you are and surround you with. Remind yourself how much you are loved, and then take steps to feel that love flowing through your body.
Love can be a tonic, especially when Neptune is present.
Juno, the asteroid of partnership, is also active during this New Moon, so relationship issues may be on our minds. Juno is known as the Goddess of Marriage, but her domain extends beyond romantic love.
Juno assists us in maintaining our independence in our relationships. She reminds us not to lose our individual spark and to continue shining our unique light regardless of the partnerships we are in.
Juno can help you rediscover yourself if you’ve been feeling a little lost, especially in a relationship. She can serve as a reminder of what you bring to the table and the importance of being recognized and valued in your partnerships.
Pluto, the planet of transformation, will also be infusing its energy into this New Moon, so if any changes or transformations are required, especially in a relationship, Pluto will assist us.
Saturn stations retrograde, making its first descent into the underworld since entering Pisces, just before the Gemini New Moon reaches its peak.
The conjunction of Saturn Retrograde and the New Moon will increase its energy, making it yet another powerful force we will be working with.
Saturn is our master teacher and the Lord of Karma, so as it travels retrograde, it will bring up karmic lessons that we need to review or review until March 2023. More information can be found here.
As you can see, the New Moon in June is quite active! Despite the fact that it’s taking us in many different directions, the overall vibe of this New Moon is expansive and soul-cleansing. While it can lead us to some profound insights, it does so to broaden our awareness, nurture our soul, and enable us to make productive new beginnings in our lives.
Gemini is ruled by twins, one of whom is mortal and the other immortal, reminding us of our dual nature. In this life, we require a connection with both our ego and our soul. To navigate this Earthly realm, we need both sides of ourselves to be in sync.
Return to this concept during the Gemini New Moon. Look for places where you can strike a balance between these two sides of yourself. Make time to listen to your ego/logical/human side, but also to your soul. Bring balance to both of their messages.
