Saturn, the planet of ambition and authority, will end its retrograde journey on November 4 at 6:02 a.m. ET or 12:02 p.m. CET, after nearly four and a half months.

Saturn went retrograde on June 17 in the mutable water sign of Pisces, allowing us to rethink our goals. The end of the retrograde gives us the opportunity to make our dreams come true. Saturn’s backward spin, which occurs for slightly more than 25% of the year, lessens the austerity that this planet has on us. Now that Saturn is starting to move forward, we will be motivated to take charge of our lives. There will be no more slacking off when it comes to work and completing tasks on time.

As Saturn’s retrograde concludes, we will be transported back to March. Consider what was going on at the time. We’re going back to that point in the story. This time, we can correct any unforeseen issues. We have the ability to change our lives and our circumstances if we are willing to learn from our mistakes and use them as a springboard for growth.

Our recent periods of introspection will pay off. The retrograde gave us time to reflect, allowing us to see where we can improve. Saturn’s direct motion will give us the impression that we have a second chance to make things right. We can resolve issues at work and in our relationships, as well as create structure and commit to a routine. Despite our avoidance of responsibility, we can advance by regaining our sense of duty and obligation.

Saturn in Pisces challenges us to figure out how to be more empathetic to others and how to understand ourselves. We are sometimes extremely critical of the decisions we make. We’re learning to be gentle with ourselves in terms of how we treat and relate to ourselves. With all of the world’s problems, Saturn’s forward motion will encourage people to act appropriately and with kindness. Hopefully, the past can point us in the right direction for the future. Compassion can go a long way. To be honest, we could all use a good dose of positive energy in our lives.

Dreamy Pisces clashes with Saturn’s harsh realities, such as paying bills and sticking to a strict schedule. Learning to balance these two opposing energies will be difficult in the coming months. Reality is harsh and difficult, but we can infuse it with our imagination, creativity, and intuition. This will provide us with the foresight to complete our errands and mundane tasks in a more efficient manner. We can inspire and motivate ourselves to achieve success in all aspects of our lives.

Saturn goes direct on Saturday, its own day. This can be celebrated with a simple candle magic ritual. You’ll need a black candle because black is the color associated with Saturn. But, before you do anything else, write a letter of intent outlining your goals in detail. Place the letter in a bowl of cold water and place the glass-encased seven-day prayer candle in the bowl before lighting it (this will prevent the candle from becoming overheated). While lighting the wick, think about what needs to be released and what can help us grow. Take note of how the candle is burning as it burns — is the glass turning dark (indicating that roads are opening), is the wick flickering (indicating that energy is hard at work), are there any images imprinted on the glass (pointing to clues)? This assists us in becoming aware of what the spirits wish us to see. Blow out the candle or use a snuffer, then relight it. Another way to embrace and honor Saturn is to burn frankincense incense.

Use it throughout the house to change the energy and provide a fresh start.
