How we perceive everything outside us and how we react and interact with the reality of the 3D world is regulated to a large extent by our Sacral Chakra.

The sacral chakra is the second chakra. It is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, and creativity. Its element is water and as such, its energy is characterized by flow and flexibility. The function of the sacral chakra is directed by the principle of pleasure.

The most common location for the sacral chakra is about three inches below the navel, at the center of your lower belly. In the back, it’s located at the level of the lumbar vertebrae. When the Sacral Chakra is in harmony, we go through our day without any kind of uneasiness and minding our own business.

But if it is out of balance, our behavior too will be disturbed, bordering on obsession. We wouldn’t be able to properly contain and express our emotions. Even sex, which is good and healthy with a balanced chakra becomes an obsession and an addiction.

There would be other manifestations of this imbalance too, pains in different parts of the body, pain during periods and so on and so forth. If left untreated it can also bring in serious afflictions like ovarian cyst, testicular cancer and infertility.

The Cure

Once you have recognized that your chakra is out of balance, you need to take measures to bring it back on track. Restoring the power of your chakras is about how you can take back control of your health and wellness by learning to work with energy.

—The color orange would help in finding the balance for your chakra. Focus on this color while thinking about curing your chakra.

—Crystals like red Jasper, topaz, Amber, hematite and orange Carnelian can help.

—The food you eat has a lot of impact on your chakras. If you eat fresh fruits like oranges, strawberries and add more cinnamon, almond and coconut to your diet, it will benefit you greatly. Also never forget the importance of water for a healthy diet.

—Taking aromatherapy and using various essential oils is also a great way to bring your Sacral Chakra back in balance.

—Being in nature, especially near water is also very good for your Sacral Chakra to be in harmony and balance.

Try not to take decisions when you feel your Sacral Chakra is not in balance and try to change this state as soon as you can.
