People joke about tree hugging when they engage in conversation with other people but we bet you did not know that tree hugging has more benefits than you could imagine. Matthew Silverstone, in his new book Blinded by Science, tells us more.
Benefits
Tree hugging helps problems like ADHD, depression and anxiety. Actually, tree hugging can help a number of mental illnesses. Other than that, we all know how amazing Nature is for our general state of mind and so on.
In addition, tree hugging can even help you if you have a headache or cannot focus when you really need to. So, all in all, spend as much time as you possibly can with nature, it will do you a world of good.
Why
Matthew Silverstone, in his book, tells us how the trees work their magic. It is common knowledge that everything on this planet vibrates, and in different frequencies. This is where the word “vibes” come from. We often use the word in conversation talking about the vibes of different places that make us feel a certain way and all of that.
The vibrations from some minerals help us clot our blood when we cut ourselves to cut down on blood loss and this is the same way that trees work. They produce healing vibrations and actually process other healing methods all on their own.
How
Now tree hugging sounds like the most simplest task in the world but there is a way that will help you as well as the tree, giving back is always necessary, isn’t it? So to help the tree that helps you, go near a tree that has always made you feel calm or better, you know, how some trees just seem “right”?
If you do not have a tree like that, all you need to do is take a walk in a park or any other place that has a lot of trees and find your tree. Go up to it and hug it for about five to ten minutes, and once you are done, put your back against it and stay that way for the same amount of time. It will help both of you.
Happy tree hugging!
