Daydreamers, lost in time, highly intuitive, curious, full of strong emotions… Most of us would call such people strange, different, weird or if we are being polite – creative. There’s something charming and irresistible about ‘weirdos’. As if they see the world from another perspective, and the things they do and the decisions they make are different from what a normal person would do.
But what is it that makes these people stand out from the crowd and what are the obstacles they have to face everyday? The following list is dedicated to these people and everybody else because in the end we are all different in our own unique way.
1. They become inspired in the least expected situations, times and places.
They can’t decide when the next big idea will come to them. It simply comes out of the blue and in the strangest way possible.
2. They daydream a lot. Frequently.
Their presence but at the same time they’re in a different place. Their thoughts can wander off at any point of a conversation. Don’t get mad at them, it’s just their nature.
3. They get bored easily.
They need constant stimulation to stay active and won’t focus on something they don’t like. You may think they have ADHD, but that’s just their genius in full mode.
4. Weird people look at the world through children’s eyes.
In some aspects they never grow up. Maybe that’s the secret to seeing the world from a child’s perspective.
5. People like these will fail at things, but you can be sure that they will try again and again.
Life is not always kind with creative people especially with professionals. David feel a thousand times in their life but after that there will arise and succeed just so they can make another mistake. Not even the most renowned creative people have always being successful. But in the end they still did it.
6. They’re always told to find a steady job.
Creative people are not always easily accepted, especially when their families and closest people expect something else from them. However, a true creative always follows their dreams.
7. They always follow their heart even though sometimes the mind tells them differently.
Psychologists say that creative people worry less and take more risks. It can lead to a thousand failures, but also to a million achieved goals.
8. They lose track of time.
When they’re in the creative process they get lost in time and space. They usually forget to eat, drink or even sleep. When words, colors, and ideas start coming out of their minds, nothing else matters to them.
9. They work when you sleep and sleep when you work.
As we mentioned previously their inspiration comes in the least expected times. So they only go with the flow and turn it into something big and creative.
10. Where people see obstacles, they see a chance.
They see the bright side of everything and have the most amazing ways to get out of unpleasant situations.
11. They fall in love with their creations just to hate them the next day.
This love-hate process they go through will always stay a mystery.
12. They also go through a reversed process.
‘Weirdos’ may well hate there creation just to fall in love with it 12 hours later.
13. They’re modest and proud at the same time.
They’re always ready to learn, but they will always be confident and proud when it comes to their ideas and Creations.
14. They’re always searching for new ways to express their creativity.
It’s not important whether they’re professionals or just amateurs, they are aware that there are many ways for people to express them themselves.
15. They always stall.
Give them a deadline and they will respect it, but be sure that they did 90% of the work the night before the deadline.
16. They always see the other side of the coin.
Their strength lies in the ability to see things from different perspectives.
17. They don’t like limitations.
Rules and boundaries are not their thing. Many of the most popular creatives in history have been labeled rebels.
18. Many of them don’t like numbers.
These people are amazing and they can surprise you from time to time, but try giving them a math assignment and you’ll be surprised how much they don’t like numbers.
19. They’re excellent observants.
They often observe people and notice even the smallest details on them. People and everything else can Inspire their next big idea.
20. They’re always in search for new adventures.
They need to be stimulated to be creative. So, is there a better way to break the routine, then to do something you have never done before.
21. They will do everything from the beginning.
Regardless of how far they’ve gotten with their last project, if they don’t like it ,they won’t put a second thought before they start again. And again. And again.
22. They love.
Everything and everybody. They love life, they love emotions, animals, music, art, books, travels… They love beauty. Creative people can sit still and quiet and watch the most beautiful sunsets they’ve ever seen or they can be excited about the next big exhibition in town. No matter what, their love of life is contagious and if you have people like these around you, keep them close. They will make your life a little bit better.
