Powerful Full Moon Release/Detox Ritual

The Full Moon is a great time to release all the built-up tensions, toxins, and negativity that you may have absorbed throughout the past moons within the moon cycle. 

Negativity can be absorbed from people, places, and even thought patterns.  The negativity can then affect not only your physical body but also your various subtle energy bodies. 

Hence, these negative energies can manifest within your physical and spiritual body.  Energy Blockages can then occur and manifest themselves as pain within your body.

Cleansing the Body and the Power of Water:

The best way to cleanse your body, mind, and soul from negative energy, toxins and lower-level thoughts is by doing a full moon release/detox ritual. 

The ritual can also help you release anything or person in your life that is no longer serving your highest good. Water is a very important element when it comes to harnessing the power of the moon. 

The moon controls the tides of the ocean, along with various feminine life cycles.  Water is also vital for any detoxification process within our bodies, as our bodies are made up of 95% water. 

Water is a vital life energy force.  Water has been shown to be affected by emotions in various studies. Masaru Emoto’s book, “The Hidden Messages in Water” is all about how human consciousness effects the molecular structure of water. 

With this in mind, we can see how our thoughts would affect our bodies. This reminds us how important positive thoughts, mantras, and affirmations help to have a positive effect upon our bodies. 

Items Needed: 

  • 7 Herbal Tea Bags (should be a combination of green tea, peppermint, and chamomile)
  • 3 Dandelions flowers with or without roots
  • 6 oz. Burdock Root (whole or chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 8 oz. purified drinking water

Step 1: Get into the right mindset.  You can do this however you wish. For example, some meditation, or doing something that makes you feel joyous.   A positive mindset is very important, if not one of the most important first steps of the ritual. In fact, if you find it difficult to feel/be in a positive mindset, it is best to wait to do the ritual until the next full moon.

Step 2: Prepare to draw a bath.  After your bath is full, drop in your 7 herbal tea bags.  The herbal tea bags should be a mixture of green tea, peppermint, and chamomile.  These teas help cleanse the body by acting as diuretics.  It is preferred a mix of each, but if you cannot get all of them you can use all one flavor. Seven is the number that symbolizes the completion of a cycle; hence, therefore, it is recommended to use seven herbal tea bags.

Step 3: Add three dandelions to the bath.  Three is the number of the holy trinity.  The number three harnesses this holy energy.  Look at the three dandelions as symbolizing your mind, body and spirit.  Dandelions are known to help eliminate toxins from the body. 

Step 4: Add the Burdock root to the bath.  Burdock root can help cleanse your body and has a particularly beneficial effect on blood levels.  It also supports the detoxification of the liver.

Step 5: Enter your bath. Immerse yourself into the water and take a deep breath. Recite this mantra: Tonight, I let go of everything that is no longer serving my highest good, including…. people, places, mistakes, guilt, regret, pain, trauma, expectations, thoughts and thought patterns.” (You can also personalize this mantra with what resonates the best with you). After reciting your mantra, start to think positive thoughts. These thoughts can be anything that makes you happy. Take as much time as you need to soak within the bath.

Step 6: After your bathing is complete, mix 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar in at least 8oz. of purified drinking water and drink it. (Caution: only use white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar, as other types of vinegar are far too acidic for consumption.)  Set your intentions on feeling renewed and refreshed.
