How Not To Ruin Your Life

Stop constantly paying attention to how you feel.

You fell the way you feel. It will pass; it will go away. Nothing is permanent. You don’t have control over your feelings (unless you’re a very spiritually advanced person). What you can actually control are your actions, and they will either lead you to pleasure or embarrassment.

Stop worrying.

Worrying too much often makes things worse. The more you think about bad things, the more likely they are to happen. Relax and let things take their natural course.

Give yourself a break.

If you want to be happy, stop telling yourself that you are not good enough. Calling you names is not what you want to do. People constantly tell themselves how they feel and how others feel about them. However, it’s important to remember that we are imperfect beings and it’s not within our capacity to know what lies hidden in the minds of other people.

Try not to pay attention to the inner critic.

It’s pointless to judge yourself.

Judging others is also silly. After all, think about whether that person really cares about your opinion.

Stop feeling guilty.

Change your behavior if you feel that’s what you should do. Blaming yourself won’t change anything. Whatever it is you are feeling guilty about, just let it go. Don’t look back.

Stop worrying about what the rest of the world says about you.

People and events are just that, people or events. And nothing more. More so, most people are too preoccupied with themselves to talk about you. And so what if they do?

Stop worrying about the outcome.

See beauty and joy in your honest and righteous actions. Learn to enjoy the journey more than the destination. Numbers are just numbers. Now you are at the top, and the next second you are at the bottom. The law of karma is mathematically exact – and it’s really objective and just, even though we may not see it now.

Don’t worry if your life and career don’t go as you planned.

The tighter you hold on to a plan, the more likely is that you will make a mistake. Because the world is on a constant change,  every detailed plan usually gets old very quickly. Therefore, instead to plan things, try to see them as they are. Flow like water.

Don’t  allow others to use you in order to avoid responsibility.

You cannot be responsible for someone else’s happiness, nor you can achieve happiness in their behalf. Let them do it themselves.

Don’t worry about your ego.

Ego invented the concept of illusion. This is not the real you. You are the eternal soul. Get to know your true self.
