We live on a beautiful blue planet which is so mysterious that even after all these years, we are discovering new things about it.
However, what happens to the things we do know of? Do we preserve them? Do we value them? Have we tried to see what effect nature has on our lives? The answer is obvious: no.
The most accepted theory of human evolution is that we have descended from the apes.
Now, there has been a lot of debate amongst scientists regarding this theory, some have supported it while others have refuted it, whatever be the case, the resemblance on DNA level is uncanny.
Some studies have also found that gorillas are quite smart and some of them are as intelligent as humans.
Deforestation, mining, construction of countless roads, increasing population, high demand for natural resources and need for food has resulted in a bleak earth.

The problem is, we believe there’s a lot of time in hand to fix the mess we have already created – truth be told, there isn’t. Global warming is increasing the number of natural disasters each year and the natural resources are depleting.
We are being ignorant about the impending doom in the name of technological advancements and superficial progress. When will we learn? Koko in this thought-provoking video, questions the same.
Koko was a sound gorilla who passed away earlier this year. Using sign language, he made us aware of our follies and how we are destroying the only planet that has life.
Skeptical people will say that the trainer has taught Koko the message, but does it really take away from being the truth? The gorilla here learnt a language and put in words his profound love for everything natural – plants, flowers and also humans.
There is an immense amount of honesty in that video which exhorts us to act and act quickly. The earth is in shambles and Koko being closer to it can feel its pain. If this doesn’t make us rethink our actions, what will?
