The moon serves as a reminder that everything on this planet is in a constant state of growth and decline. And, like the moon, we go through phases of growth and decline.

Each Full Moon signals the end of a cycle. It’s a time to rejoice and be grateful for how far you’ve come and what you’ve learned and accomplished along the way.

The Full Moon, on the other hand, is an invitation to check in with yourself and shed light on areas of your life where you are ready to let go of anything that is holding you back from living your true potential.

Any outgrown behavior patterns, self-limiting beliefs, toxic situations/relationships, or emotions that you are ready to let go of. The Full Moon is an excellent time to let go and release.

Affirmations, like manifestations, work through energy. And you can influence what you want to attract into your life by using the right affirmations.

What are affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements that you tell yourself over and over. They can help you overcome any self-sabotaging and negative thoughts that are preventing you from being the best version of yourself and living the life you truly desire over time!

We all have this voice in our head telling us things like “you will never get that job, don’t even bother applying” or “you will never get that house by the beach, this is simply not how life works for you”.

These negative thoughts that we keep telling ourselves over and over again become self-fulfilling and shape our reality!

How do affirmations work?

Affirmations are similar to mental brainwashing. They aid in the development of a more positive mindset. And by reprograming the unconscious mind, we can begin to break free from the limiting belief systems that keep us small and hold us back.

In some ways, you are replacing limiting beliefs with positive beliefs about yourself. With a positive mindset, you vibrate at a higher frequency and can create whatever you want.

If you truly believe you can accomplish something, your actions will change and lead you to your goals, dreams, and desires. And you’ll end up living a more purposeful life, one you enjoy, one that feels more authentic to you.

Working with affirmations

There are numerous methods for working with affirmations. You can either read them aloud to yourself or repeat them in front of a mirror. Alternatively, you can jot them down in your journal.

Try a few different approaches and then stick to what works best for you. I made affirmations a part of my morning routine, and I repeat them after my meditation every morning.


  • to start, take a few deep grounding breaths to clear your mind
  • focus on 2 – 3 affirmations at a time
  • repeat your affirmations with a confident voice 3 – 5 times
  • dive into the energy behind what you are saying
  • repeat your affirmations 3 – 5 times

Consistency is essential! Repeat your affirmations as often as you want for as long as you want, the longer the better.

Understand what you’re saying. Connect with the emotion behind your affirmations and allow it to settle in your heart.

Respect and appreciate your current position in the process. Have fun with it!

Affirmations and gratitude go hand in hand. Practicing gratitude will assist you in developing a more abundant mindset. And connecting with the feeling behind your affirmations will be easier when you do them from a more abundant mindset.
