For a very long time in my life, I have believed in the idea that small changes are the most important things in life.
Yes, if you are able to make small changes every day, you will be able to change your life in a way in which it will become beautiful and full of success. But the thing is that most of us don’t realize the importance of these small changes.
So, here is a list of a few small rituals that you can practice every day; incorporating them in your routine and you won’t be able to fathom the way these rituals will change you (they sure made me better!):
Be thankful before you call it a day: I think one of the most important things that we should realize is that being thankful for the things or for the people we have will take us a long way. If before sleeping, you pause for some time and think about everything that you have and be thankful for it; you will begin to realize how grounded and humble you will become.
Start your day with a meditation or a prayer: These are times when we wake up and read notifications on different apps that we have. Now, those must be really important things but they kind of take away the calm that we achieve through sleep. If you want to maintain that calm throughout the day, all you have to do is wake up with meditation. You will be a lot calmer and happier. You can also do this with a prayer.
Try to make a cup of tea in the morning and enjoy it all by yourself: Yes, do this. Make a cup of tea for yourself and sit with yourself and think about the things you are going to do and the attitude that you are going to have when you do those things. This will surely help you through the day.
Light a candle or some incense: This helps in creating an aura of positivity and happiness around you. This will also help you relax and take away those jittery feelings that you might have about anything.
Read every day; just a few pages: Yes, and do this anytime and anywhere. This really helps because when you read you come to know about things that you never knew. Also, reading makes you more conscious of the details that are around you and sure it makes you a deep soul.
Take yourself out for a walk: I always do this if I have had a tough day. Just walk around and see things and people around you. And you know what I always realize? There are so many things that we ignore because we are overwhelmed by our own issues. The world is really so big and we are very inconsequential.
Make a wish before you sleep: Wish for something that you want for yourself before you sleep. Avoid the material things. Ask for courage or compassion or kindness; something that makes you a better person and surely you will be able to contribute to make this world a better place.
