Finding Your Forever Person Doesn’t Really Mean Finding Real Happiness

True happiness is not something related to our love lives, because heartfelt and true happiness isn’t about whether we hug someone while we sleep, or fall asleep alone.

It isn’t about whether we have finally found the right person we would like to spend our entire lives with or if we still haven’t found someone. Simply said, happiness has nothing to do with our relationship status, regardless of how it is.

In fact, happiness is more about feeling excited when we wake up and think of the day in front of us. It is more about enjoying everything and every day rather than wishing the weekend to arrive soon.
Happiness is more about enjoying what happens now rather than living in our past or even imagining our future. It is more about being present rather than worrying about everything that happened or will happen in the future.

Happiness is something about cherishing every little thing in our lives rather than ignoring or taking it for granted. In fact, the smell that spreads from the food in our favorite restaurant, the name of our friend appearing on our phone’s screen, the barking or our dog – happiness is all about paying attention to such small moments, because they are really important.

Happiness is also about being thankful for everything we have rather than wanting even more. Happiness related to being really proud of our success, regardless of how small that success may be. It is all about feeling proud because we got a raise, although it will still not be enough for buying our favorite car and our dream house.

Happiness is about feeling excited because we should buy a phone case for our phone, even when it comes to a much earlier version, or even when our friends actually have the newest models. Real happiness will be about cherishing everything we have rather than comparing ourselves to our past selves.

Happiness will be about seeing the good in the most terrible situations. Happiness will be about failing the test and feeling thankful that we still have another chance to pass it and raise our grades.

In fact, it is also about being rejected, and feeling grateful for every chance we had to meet someone and see his or her real feelings.

It is simply about getting sick, and then feeling thankful that we are going to feel better as the time passes, during the weekend or when the holidays are about to come. Happiness will be about changing our ways of looking at our current situation, as we are much better than we expected we are going to be.

Moreover, happiness is more about acknowledging that not every single day will be an excellent one. Usually, we will stay at our homes, skip our exercising in the gym, or ignore every call and text on our phone, and simply sit on our couch during the entire day.

Usually, we are going to find it hard to smile, even though there is actually nothing that we should complain about and feel upset for.

Sometimes, finding real happiness is going to feel hard or even impossible. However, moments like this one will pass, and such negative emotions are also going to pass.

We are going to feel happy once again, even when anxiety and pain is everything we know, or even when we thought that the better days we want are never going to come.
