5 Showing Signs That You’re Out Of Spiritual Alignment

Sometimes, we often feel like deep down something is not right with us. It is normal to feel that way as we at times shift from our spiritual alignment. We have to bring ourselves back on track on our own.

These setbacks are often hidden opportunities to channel your virtues. However sometimes they are too difficult to identify.  These are the 5 signs to identify that you’re out of spiritual alignment and some solutions to correct it.

1. Exhaustion

When you feel so tired that it seems even your soul is exhausted, it is a definite sign that you are out of alignment or not being authentic. This requires more life force and hence the energy drain.

Questions to ask:

  • Where am I not genuine?
  • What kind of dreams am I having lately?
  • Where can I accept my flaws and honor my words?


  • Meditation to unravel hidden messages
  • Walk or work out to stir up latent energy
  • Activate your spine through exercises or meditation as it is the centre of our being.
  • Use essential oils in a diffuser to refresh your mind.

2. Breathing troubles

Problems like anxiety, stress and anger can lead to several breathing issues which are directly connected to our spirit.

Questions to ask:

  • Which issues are giving me anger, fear or resentment?
  • Where do I need more attention?
  • Which body parts retain tension?


  • To resolve anger, learn to forgive with all your heart.
  • With a relaxed mind, breath in into your tummy in 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 counts, exhale for count 8. Repeat this a few times.
  • Nourish yourself with Epsom bath salts and essential oils which contain magnesium and other calming elements.

3. Concentration Problems

We get so easily distracted and involved into several things at the same time, that we end up quite directionless and lost.

Questions to ask:

  • What am I most invested in?
  • What is my top priority today, this week, month and year?
  • How can I create more time for myself?


  • Save your precious time.
  • Use a calendar or a time management app to schedule your activities.
  • After suppose a 50 minute work time, take a break for 10 minutes and imagine how the next hour will go. You can even try a morning meditation routine and visualize your most impactful day.
  • Rub a bit of peppermint oil on your temples to promote concentration.

4. Sadness or Depression

A feeling of utter loss or fear usually leads to this. Fear of death or abandonment or loss of a loved one or something equally important.

Questions to ask:

  • Where am I holding on to sadness?
  • What have I lost?
  • What shadow am I ignoring?


  • Practice thankfulness. Make a list of 5 things that you’re grateful for to feel lighter.
  • Send a genuine note to someone you don’t like and maybe experience something great.
  • Have some drops of grapefruit essential oil mixed with a glass of water as it brings positivity.

5. Irritability

When we are out of alignment, our bodies also have chemical imbalance. Proper nutrition, hydration and hormone balance is important.

Questions to ask:

  • What’s my caffeine, sugar or alcohol intake?
  • How much do I sleep?
  • Do I have a healthy weight and diet?
  • Is my sex life satisfactory?


  • Eat more green vegetables.
  • Hydrate yourself more.
  • Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake.
  • Use essential oils like – sandalwood, clary sage and thyme to balance hormones.
  • Try eye gazing meditation with your partner in yab-yum to calm your irregular energies.
